Wikipedia - Asian Women's Volleyball Challenge Cup
The Asian Women's Volleyball Challenge Cup, also known as the AVC Challenge Cup for Women, is an international volleyball competition in Asia and Oceania contested by the senior women's national teams of the members of Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC), the sport's continent governing body.
From 2023 edition, the winner will qualify for the FIVB Challenger Cup.
This event should not be confused with the other, more prestigious continental competition for Asian national women's volleyball teams, the Asian Volleyball Championship and Asian Volleyball Cup.
The two Asian Volleyball Challenge Cup tournaments has been won by two different national teams. Both Hong Kong and Vietnam have won one time.
History
Originally, the tournament was scheduled to be awarded every two years beginning 2018. The first two editions of the tournament were due to take place in Hong Kong, China, but due to unforeseen reasons, the first edition in 2018 did not held, while the second edition two years later was cancelled due to grave concerns over the COVID-19 pandemic. The tournament was first take place in 2022. The champions was Hong Kong, which won their first title at the 2022 edition in a round-robin format. In 2023 edition, Vietnam crowned as the champions, won also their first title in the tournament and qualified for the 2023 FIVB Challenger Cup.
From the 2023 edition, the AVC Challenge Cup has reformed from being held biennially to annually as it serve as a qualifier for the FIVB Challenger Cup.
В Кубке Челлендж принимают участие лучшие женские сборные Азии, которые соревнуются за главный приз - Кубок Челлендж. Турнир проводится раз в два года, а его победители получают право выступать на чемпионате мира по волейболу среди женщин.
Первый Кубок Челлендж состоялся в 2018 году в Таиланде. В нем приняли участие 8 команд, а победителем стала сборная Китая. В 2020 году Кубок Челлендж должен был пройти в Южной Корее, но был отменен из-за пандемии COVID-19.
В 2022 году Кубок Челлендж состоится в Нур-Султане, Казахстан. В турнире примут участие 8 команд:

* Таиланд
* Вьетнам
* Австралия
Турнир будет проходить с 23 по 29 августа 2022 года. Победитель Кубка Челлендж получит право выступать на чемпионате мира по волейболу среди женщин 2022 года.
